Ratos De Porao - Brasil (1989)

The album cover is killer artwork, and judging by the band photo's on the band, those in the know would assume this is a Billy Milano M.O.D./S.O.D. type mosh...and you'd be right. Not to be taken seriously, this is still some heavy thrashing with a crossover message...Like many other hardcore acts there is the political commentary and quite a few, short tracks to get your teeth into. Jao's chugs impress the most amidst the chaos as Gordo chants like a maniac over Spaghetti's reckless drums. 'Backwards', 'AIDS', Children Without Future', 'Traitor', 'Bloody Pigs', all furious thrashcore for the sweatiest and most violent moshpits on a Friday night. A great little slab of anarchic mayhem.

7/10
