Battlefield - We Come To Fight (1987)

A female fronted band that'll have you running for the light switch, this is scary stuff in the sense that it firmly exists in those crummy, cankered shadows metal created back in the day. Conny Ernst is some throat, coughing out the blasphemy over a few Slayerized riffs. With track titles such as 'Grave Of The Unknown' and the early Metallica influenced 'Possessed Preacher' I'd have been pleased as punch as a spotty teenager to have discovered this gem all those years ago. Now, turn the light back off and let's give this five tracker another spin. 7/10
