Grinder - Dead End (1989)

I think this is the band's second record, and like the first it sticks to a more mainstream style of thrash elying on sharp dynamics and mid tempo structures and a few interesting track intros' for good measure. It's not as diverse as the band's next record (also reviewed on here) which seemed to succumb to a few funkier grooves, but if you like your thrash solid then you could do far worse. There's nothing original about this but the boys are clearly gifted musicians, just check out the solo on 'Why' and the Bay Area mosh of 'Total Control.' 6.5/10
