The Last Vegas - Bad Decisions (2012)

This is the one. The Last Vegas are my current saviours of real rock 'n' roll. After the likes of Young Heart Attack and Beautiful Creatures faded away, I'm now searching the for the next cool thang and The Last Vegas deliver the goods. In fact, my review of their last album was actually crap and I should've given it a 9/10, because the reality is these guys kick serious ass and in frontman Chad Cherry have a king of cool, style and swagger and with a voice that marries Tom Kiefer of Cinderella, Josh of Buckcherry and just about every other cool frontman this planet has ever seen. Musically it's always bang on, driving hard, ballsy, groove based, and rip roaring - think of a mix of AC/DC, The Cult, Crue, Stones, Aerosmith - so thank the lord that they've gained support but bands such as Crue. The Last Vegas have supported Steel Panther, Buckchery and Crue and they deserve all the exposure they can get because there are too many fake rock bands around trying to bring back the good old days, whereas The Last Vegas are simply real and bad to the bone, kicking out ultra hip and swingin' tunes that see Aerosmith pale in comparison. I'm not gonna sit here and trawl through the songs - but fave tracks are the Zeppish swagger of 'Evil Eyes', the glam stomp title cut and hair rock anthem 'Good Night',- if you're that interested buy the damn album because these guys are the hottest thing around but whether they make it big only time will tell, I'm just glad I found them too. This is a band capable of writing absolute classics. Most certainly no need to fix something that isn't broken, The Last Vegas have simply reinvented the wheel, giving us a treble dose of all things rock n' roll. This has got more oomph that nearly every so called rock n' roll album I've heard in the last ten years. 9/10
