Erotikill - Virgin Speed (1990)

There's something so naive about the whole record, maybe it's those out of tune vocals that slip somewhere between Megadeth's Dave Mustaine and Anthrax injun Joey Belladonna. Even so, this is a pretty decent little thrash record - great cover - that's tight musically, if cliched,'Slay Ground',et al all begin as mid-paced moshers and transform into Anthrax-style work outs via 'Spreading The Disease,' but without the weight. At times timid, but mainly due to production issues, 'Virgin Speed' is still one of those '90s thrash records any metalhead would've been pleased to have owned. 6.5/10
