Tora Tora - Wild America (1992)

A cool, breezy rock record from this Memphis-based band, who have a strong Skid Row feel at times, mainly in the vocal talents of Corder. Although they achieved only minor success, 'Wild America', being the bands second release, shows maturity in its song structures, fans of '80s hair metal will find much to devour in the form of mid paced rocker 'Nowhere To Go But Down' and the stirring title track. 'City Of Kings' has a more ballsy approach, strutting in on those clattering drums and bubbling bass, all pretty basic to some, but it's good time metal, 'Dead Man's Hand' prefrring a faces/Black Crowes bar room sway with the piano and horns. Good stuff, wrong year! 6.5/10
