Vendetta - Feed The Extermination (2011)

It's amazing as to how many old school thrash acts have returned or kept going and released some stunning records over the last few years - Overkill, Exodus, Nuclear Assault, Testament, Kreator blah blah....Vendetta were never the greatest thrash band but 'Go And Live...' and 'Brain Damage' were half decent records back in the day. The band returned a few years ago with the disappointing 'Hate' and I, like so many others, have given them another chance with 2011's 'Feed...' but once again we've been let down. 'Feed....' is proof that not every old school band is responsible for keeping the scene alive with fantastic records. Sadly, Vendetta now exist as some childish incarnation, a band with a more groove based sound destroyed by banal riffs and horrendous lyrics. The only track on the record that bears any resemblance to old Vendetta is 'Cancer' but this is quickly smothered by such inadequate ramblings such as 'Til I'm Dead.' I had to include this album here so you know what to avoid. 'Feed...' dresses itself up as a thrash record, but I haven't heard anything so boring since the recent Morbid Angel atrocity. I'll stick to those old crusty '80s glam records, because 'Feed...' does absolutely nothing for me. 4/10
